Volunteer group improves accessibility to Allander House gardens

The outside space at Allander House has received a successful revamp over the past few weeks thanks to a team of volunteers. Previously the outside space had not been easy to access for individuals with mobility difficulties or those who required to use a wheelchair.

The team of volunteers organised by Fiona Sinclair, Volunteer Service Manager and Lauren Lochrie, Senior Project Officer managed to remove a fence and tree and build an accessible path from the front entrance down to the gardens. The gardens areas are frequently used by individuals attending the groups for both games and activity sessions and as a place to relax at lunch and break times – so this has been a great improvement and the team at SNRPMP are thankful to all the volunteers that helped out.
