In-Person PMP

Programme Length

The in-person programme runs for 3 consecutive weeks from Monday to Friday for full days. There is a maximum of 10 people accepted to each programme.

Preparing to attend the in-person programme

You will probably have lots of questions about what happens next.  It is normal to feel anxious about making such a commitment to attend. It can be normal when attending an in-person (residential) group, to have additional anxiety about being away from home and your loved ones.

To try and help reduce some of these worries we will arrange a video review appointment with you after your assessment.  The purpose of the review is to:

● Answer any questions you have about the programme

● Discuss any needs you have to help you attend the programme

● To review the practicalities of staying in the programme accommodation

The Packing Checklist for Attending the SNPMP includes items that you will need and may want to consider packing for use in the accommodation and during the days for the programme.

During the programme

Whether the group is delivered virtually or in-person, the content is identical.  We use a variety of methods to help suit different learning styles. Read more about what happens on a programme on the About the Programme Page

After the programme

For six months following the end of the group, there are some optional group catch up sessions and arranged review appointments to discuss how you are managing with using the pain management skills learnt on the programme in your everyday life.
